Cogeneration, (or combined heat and power - CHP), is a technique allowing the simultaneous production of useful heat and power in a single only process. Both forms of energy are used to feed a building or a district.
The term micro - cogeneration refers to the simultaneous production of electricity and thermalenergy in a single process, in order to meet the energy needs of a small or medium sized facility like: house, hotel, public building.
Trigeneration refers to the production of three different forms of energy: electricity, hot water and cold water.
